Biden's Clemencies and Pardons
The numbers are impressive when you see he handed out 600 pardons for marijuana, 1500 clemencies in one day and 29 other pardons.
But what is sad is none of these people were in prison to not only help lighten the load on the prison system or help someone like me serving a life sentence for something that has now been proven that I am innocent.
Instead, he does this for people already home on home confinement or probation including child molesters, child porn crimes and foreign nationals.
The current administration has bent over backwards and released up to six BILLION dollars to Iran for prisoner swaps but has yet done nothing for an American that has been wrongfully detained in the American justice system.
Trading dangerous prisoners to release Americans in other countries seems to be the only priority this administration has, not fixing the mistakes the Department of Justice has made against its own citizens.
All we can do is hope that President-elect Trump will come in on the first day of office and see that there are thousands of people either innocent, waiting on this long appeal process. or just wrongfully convicted just like he was and put an end to them serving time in the federal prison system
The prison system is broke and understaffed with some of the worst structures that are falling down around the inmates. The prisons are broken to the point they can't even provide a proper diet anymore for inmates and let many of us go home to ease the pressure on the system.
It is way past time that America see's sentences and convictions being forgiven for the less fortunate instead of always a family member, personal friend or a member of the corrupt inner circle always getting a break.
Yes, the Biden numbers sound and look impressive to someone on social media who knows nothing about this system, but his numbers do nothing to save the normal taxpayer any money by pardoning someone not even in prison. You are still being billed billions for people who do not belong in prison for non-violent crimes.
